Classification and general application of cantilever crane
The cantilever crane includes curved arm cantilever crane, fixed column cantilever crane, mobile cantilever crane and double arm cantilever crane. Although they have different names, they also have common characteristics. For example, the floor area is small, the work efficiency is high, and the reliability is high when it is used. It is very suitable for short-distance lifting and transportation on the platform, and the use frequency is high. Moreover, it can carry out relatively intensive lifting and transportation.
The cantilever crane is divided into three types: column type, wall mounted type and balance crane.
1. The column type cantilever crane is a cantilever crane composed of a column and a cantilever that can rotate around a fixed column fixed on the base, or that the cantilever and the rotating column are just connected and rotate together relative to the vertical center line in the base support. It is suitable for platforms with small lifting capacity and round or fan-shaped service range. Generally, the ring chain electric hoist is used as the lifting mechanism and operating mechanism for workpiece clamping and column lifting cantilever cranes used for machine tools, etc., and the wire rope electric hoist and chain hoist are rarely used. Rotation and horizontal movement are mostly manual, and only when the lifting capacity is large, electric operation is adopted.
2. The wall mounted crane is a cantilever crane fixed on the wall, or a cantilever crane that can run along the elevated track on the wall or other supporting structures.
The use site of the wall crane is the workshop or warehouse with large span and high building height. It is most suitable when the lifting operation near the wall is frequent. The wall crane is mostly used in conjunction with the beam or bridge crane above. It serves a cuboid space near the wall and is responsible for lifting light and small objects. The large objects are borne by the beam or bridge crane.
3. The balance crane is commonly known as the balance crane. It uses the principle of four-bar linkage to make the load and balance counterweight form a balance system. It can use a variety of slings to flexibly and easily lift the load in three-dimensional space. The balance crane is light and flexible. It is an ideal lifting equipment for lifting small articles. It is widely used for loading and unloading of machine tools in workshops, lifting of workpieces and sandboxes in process rooms, automatic lines and production lines, assembly of parts and components, as well as various platforms such as stations, docks and warehouses.
